SC300 CEL not working
My 1995 SC300 has had the problem recently where it will start and to keep it from stalling out, I need to rest my food on the accelerator.
After a couple minutes once the car starts to warm, it stalls completely even with my foot on the gas.
Ill try to restart the car and it’ll fire and turn over for a second then stall again, with or without my foot on the gas.
Right now, the check engine light won’t even come on when the engine off and the key is in the on position so I’m wondering if there’s another way to retrieve codes somehow so I can diagnose the issue.
any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
You see, the fact that the CEL does not come On at all in itself is already a clue, it usually indicates an issue with the ECU, which are not exactly known for their exceptional longevity, here is a detailed thread on some of the possible issues that could be awaiting you.
Hope this helps and best of luck!

That's what I was starting to think after going through more posts, everything points to the ECU but that's the one thing I was hoping it wasn't.
Thank you for the one thread, I may try to do what's there but I haven't soldered since middle school so I may have to find somewhere that does ECU repair (maybe Tanin for $200). Right now I think I'll open it up and once I realize it's beyond my skill level, I'll ship it to Tanin.
