Hello all,

I searched on the forum but couldn't find an explanation about the difference in fuel tanks between up to 96 and 97+ fuel tanks other than "they are different". Mines a '96.
All I see is the inside line coming from a different direction but still don't know how that would affect the functionality, if anything. I'm in the process of either acquiring a new fuel tank, cleaning mine, or buying a used one.
Here are two pics I cropped form ebay listings to show this. Would I need a different filler tube or something if all I could find is 97+? Do they mount differently? Thanks for the help.
