hey yall...I have a few questions about using 400's parts....
I am planning to put injectors from 400 models and the MAF from a 400 model....but the question is ....does it has to be a certain 400....or it could be a SC400 or LS400 or is this swap can not be done at all....so..that's my 1st question..
then...if I DO have those 440cc injector and the 400 class MAF...I probably do need to adjust some setting with a S-AFC right...???have anyone of yall did this swap???
thanks guys...that's all for now...
well...I wasn't really sure about the size of the 400's but that's the very next size above 330cc...I think..but anyway...does the MAF of the 400's really have a bigger flow?...I do know a few of yall 300 guys have the SC400 MAF...but I think all of those guys are turbo
This is my IMPRESSION from how MA70 Supras use it..
I think the 400 AFM actually reads a lower voltage for the same airflow. That is, the MA70 ecu sees the MA70 AFM going "4 volts!" and it knows "Oh, OK, that's 250cfm" (example numbers).. whereas the UZZ30 AFM says "4 volts!" and it actually means "300cfm". I think. The reason I think this, is because the MA70 guys switch from 440cc injectors to 550cc injectors, and the AFM swap is like a remap for them. You get what I mean? An added bonus is the body of the AFM is bigger too, so it's a slightly smaller restriction.
Of course I could be totally wrong. A good place to research it would be in the 86.5-92 forum in Supraforums. Probably find a fair bit of info there.
