Default I need help

Ok so i brought this 1992 1uz-fe/sc400
its was perfectly fine drove it home started sanding it down to re paint.

the intercooler then leaked and went into the trans so i replaced both

it was running perfect then every time i would park the car warm and tried to start it back up it would idle then died.

i then looked at the tps and got it back to stock position and checked the maf and it was clean i then fiddled with the idle speed to try and get it to work again with help of my old man who’s a mechanic it then had lack of power and save idle issue

i gave it to a mechanic because i had no time and he ****ed around with it for 3 months replacing spark plugs and fuel pump with a ****ty cheap one, he also sent the ecu off to get tested and it was fine i got it back and the idle was completely fine but lack of power like it was running on **** all cylinders and keep throwing a code in happens saying charging issue please check fan belt is tight and it was

i then checked spark plugs and there where 2 on each side that where washed so i replaced the fuel injectors and it felt like it was getting better i knew that the ecu would take time to adjust to the new fuel injectors and the code disappeared it was running okay ish for 2 days then i was driving to work turned a corner and it just died on me

i thought it would be flat battery tried jump starting it and nothing it would crank but would start

what could be causing these issues of lack of power and it dying and the crank no start someone please help i’m started to run out of ideas

Atleast you got some codes... I would assume the ECU is the main culprit, but I've had mine rebuilt and still have the same low idle and stall issue. Its probably your hard intake tube with the box. It may be separating causing a lean issue.

after doing some research i am going to do the good old fashioned mechanic way air, fuel and spark i’m going to check the spark of the spark plug leads make sure all of the cylinders are firing then im gonna check the fuel see if thats all good then go to o2 sensors and airbox

and i’ll keep you posted
