I must SLAM my driver door (92 SC400) to get it to latch. I checked the striker pawl with the working passenger door and noticed the pawl that grabs the striker in the jamb to be loose. or broken. Does anyone have a picture of a latch that has been fixed or taken apart? I think the rod the pawl rides on is sheared as there is noticeable play when you move the latch gear in the door.
