Hey all!

1997 SC300 w/ R154 swap.

I've been doing hours on hours on days on days of research as to why my AC control unit does not power on. I've checked multiple forums, posts, pages, Google searches, Facebook pages, to no avail.

I've checked all fuses, in cabin and in the engine bay, all are solid. I've also replaced fuses just in case.

I've bought a new AC control unit (known working) and still no power. (Tested functioning with another SC + bench tested)

I've tried LEXSINGLE's write up on using a .5ohm reed relay, and I've also tested out multiple reed relays to ensure the first one wasn't defective.

Guru's out there, can you please point me in another direction on what to test next?

Again, I apologize if this has been beat to death. I made sure I did my due diligence in exhausting my research efforts before making this post.

I've just read of someone stating there's a harness of some sort under the carpet, driver side, in front of the seat.

They stated there were loose connections there that solved their issue.

Will attempt tomorrow.

 

Fixed my issue! I sent it and bought a new center dash harness (exact PN for my year) and climate is now back and operational. Fixed multiple issues.-climate works-ambient temp on dash works-radio works-parking brake light works-hazards work

 

What sort of damage did the old harness have? We just lost an ABS sensor to a rodent chewing it but that was on the outside of the car.
