Unhappy Charge issues!! Help!!

So I’ve owned my 1992 sc400 for almost a year now and she’s never had any issues until the past 2 months. Every now and then as I’m not accelerating the engine will shut off completely and both the charge and hot exhaust symbols come up suggesting alternator problems.
Ive had both a new battery and alternator put in as of last week but the issue still remains.
im taking it to a mechanic so they can try diagnose what’s going on,, but just wanting to see if anyone has had similar issues that could point me in the right direction

Has the ECU been serviced that you know of? If not, it's usually best to address that before chasing down mysterious symptoms. On my '94, capacitor leakage had nearly eaten away some of the traces that were hidden below the frame of the overall housing, resulting in an occasional knock sensor signal once warmed up that would trigger limp mode.

This sounds familiar, but I wouldn't say it's an ECU nor alternator issue.... I don't know what troubleshooting you have gone through, but I would follow what @t2d2 stated. Check your ECU and if it hasn't been rebuilt, get it rebuilt, since it will need to be done anyway. If that doesn't work, then give us an update and we will try to find a positive outcome.

Yeah from my knowledge the ecu hasn't been touched at all and I was hoping this issue wouldn't be connected to that but I suppose I'll try get that done,, fingers crossed that can sort out the issue
