Sc300 2jz-gte auto sld-type 2 problems!!!! Help!!!!
Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to this forum I usually post over on Supra forums, but I figured I'd probably get more out of going to a specific forum. So, I've got a 1999 Sc300 with an aristo VVTI GTE swap single turbo aftermarket ECU all the regular goodies. I just installed HKS SLD TYPE 2 since I'm running the factory auto trans it has a few upgrades 3k stall torque converter ATF SPEED stage 3 valve body big *** trans cooler and I'm using the factory ecu to run piggybacked onto a ECUMaster Black. The issue is since I've installed the SLD type 2 I can only roll into boost around 40mph going up to a 100mph+ but if I decide to get into boost at 80mph it drops a gear and makes me redline with no option of getting out of it, so I just have to let it decel to it goes back into a higher gear naturally is this the design of the SLD it forces the trans to drop a gear when it detects you want to race?
I just want to know if this is something I can fix, or I just got to deal with it because eventually I feel like I'm going to blow my engine or my trans with this. I tried looking around this forum for answers but i only found old threads with no one having this similar issue.

That is probably asking too much of the stock ecu setup, the SLD works best on manual ecus since it messes with the speed signal I don't think you can get rid of that issue with the auto if you downshift before it kicks in and you get stuck in the lower gear. They do have ones for automatics but not sure how much it helps, make sure you have the right one maybe.
The ecu master black should be able to run all of that without the stock computer except for the automatic. I would change it over to full standalone that can run all of it or you will likely blow that transmission, the engine won't care unless the transmission dying damages it. Or remove the SLD until you can go pro efi or something that controls the transmission better.

Yeah I see while I was waiting for a reply on here, I looked around on supra forums and saw a few other people running into this issue where the transmission disengages and free revs causing it to feel as if it dropped a gear Does anyone recommend anything that can help me out other than changing my whole ecu setup at the moment.
