Default '97+ to '92-94 conversion?

Hi!! I have a '98 SC300 with the full facelift in Diamond White Pearl (051)...

I've seen that there are differences from '92-92, '95-97, & 97+, & I definitely prefer the look of the original body style to that of my '98. That being said, what would the process of taking a '92 front bumper & putting it on my car look like? Do I need a new bumper? Are the fenders different? What's this about a piece of Styrofoam I hear about?

You may have more availability, since everyone is trying to do the opposite. I do believe the intake nosle may be different, 93's goes below the nose to the 1st open grill on the upper passenger side. Not sure where 97+ goes. I don't mind my 93's front bumper, just not the front holes drilled fot the plate

There are some very minor differences in how the front bumper affixes but nothing major. All the OEM bumpers and side skirts are basically interchangeable between 1992-2000. The bodies for all model years are 100% identical as to how bumpers and side skirts can be installed.

Be careful and unhurried when removing the side skirts as those can be potentially damaged when taking them off without care.

Also it looks like your OEM foglights are missing. In your case the wiring for them will still be there unlike 1992-1994's. 1995-1996 bumpers had foglight housings from the factory for H3 bulbs. 1992-1994's do not and instead have "cornering lights" in those same locations.

I've seen it done on a few nice 97+ SC's that got into accidents and somehow ended up with a 92-94 front end. It seems to swap over just fine from what I saw.

Hi!! First I'd like to thank all of you for the replies Everyone is so nice on this website & I'm happy about that!!

What I'm probably going to end up doing is just buying the bumper I want & putting that on instead of trading away the original since in the unfortunate scenario that I have to sell my SC it would probably look bad for me to not have the '97+ front bumper on my '98...
Going to probably just end up painting this whole thing while I'm at it
