Difficulty Starting 93 Sc400
Hey guys, I thought it was just my starter or the fact that it’s a 30 year old v8 but after getting said starter replaced (my wallet still hurts) it still takes me a good 5-7 seconds to cold-start my 1993 sc400. Would that be something like spark plugs/wires? Hopefully the attached video works. It runs and drives fine but man that start scares me sometimes.
To be honest man I have had the same issue with mine but I changed my spark plugs and cleaned my maf sensor and changed the bottom fuel filter on the fuel line up under the driver side of the car right in front of the rear wheel. And she starts up on a dime. I didn’t change my wires or distributor caps cause the wires are 110 a set and the caps are 50 for one and you need 2

but I recommend spark plug wires, distributor caps, fuel filter, fuel pump, and a healthy battery.
you need 3 things for it to run fuel, compression/air, and spark. Take one of those away or hinder one of those and it could cause the lag that you showed in the video
