Default Dash rattles

Has anyone else dealt with persistent dash rattles in their RZ (or other newer Lexus model for that matter)

Specifically plastic trim that surrounds the main instrument display (ie what used to be called gauge cluster or instrument cluster, now since it’s just another screen not 100 pct sure what to call it)

Seems to happen most when hitting higher frequency bumps in rough road

Have tried inserting foam in various places without solving issue completely

Thinking about taking to dealer but expecting a typical runaround (car sounds fine, we don’t hear anything abnormal…)

My RZ so far has been rattle free. However, my TX was a rattle box until going back to the Lexus dealership several times till no more rattles.
The rattle you described is coming from the instrument cluster rubbing against the plastic trim that surrounds it. (What happened to my TX) It makes a squeaking noise. The dealership repaired it by placing black felt strips around the instrument cluster. That was the majority of the rattles for me.
The only tweak I did for my RZ was to put some black felt adhesive strips under the contact points between the window control/door lock button panel and the door panel. It eliminated a plastic noise/rattle when opening or closing the door. I did that for my NX too.

Ok thanks that is helpful and somewhat encouraging that you had a positive outcome generally. I’m going to see if dealer can address at next upcoming service. Frankly I am a little surprised to be dealing with this on a 2023 Lexus. I have no rattles on my 2019 Subaru. It is what it is I guess. Otherwise, the car has been trouble free.

My data point - no dash rattles, but my driver-side mirror was vibrating at highway speeds to the point of making me dizzy when seeing it through peripheral vision.
Took the car in to a Lexus dealer, and they went over and beyond taking it apart, consulting with Japan, and putting it back together. Problem solved.

That would be my recommendation - have the dealer address this for you. I bet they will.

Ok thanks. I’m just a bit frustrated I haven’t been able to resolve it myself. I’m not a total incompetent car-wise (I just did a full timing service on my LS400.) These responses are encouraging that I just need to take it in and insist. It is coming due for its next 5k mile service so I’ll ask that this be addressed at the same time.
