RZ450e Takumi
Hello All. My Rz is on order on a 2 year lease as such a great deal. Is everyone happy ? I went for it ignoring all the negative comments regarding the range. We absolutely loved the drive on the test drive and the quality and that premium feel. And the drive was just fantastic. Would you say it manageable if now and then if we do go on a long trip just to charge on our travels. Of course will be getting a home charger . But going on occasional long trips is making me think.
Don't forget with the purchase of an RZ, you get 30 days free rental of a Lexus ICE vehicle.

Personally, I would not take any EV on a long road trip. Not until the range is closer to 600 miles, and the charging is less than 5 minutes and more reliable. The thing people don't tell you is while there are chargers out there, many of them are in use or broken when you get there and you may have to wait an hour or two for one to become available. Plus, unlike a gas station, public chargers do not have an employee on site which leads to slower identification of issues and resolution.
A good video highlighting the fact the charging infrastructure is way behind the maturity of the EV cars that use it.

I am all for EV's, but my use case would be limited to in-town errand running and home charging. Life is to short and my time too valuable.

Thank you for your comment. Appreciated. They do have the Lexus reserve programme in the uk but I’m not sure if it would be still
offered to us if it’s a lease . The car is not coming until June. Would this be something I would speak to dealer that is rehearsing the vehicle about the reserve. I asked the leasing provider I went thorough but they don’t know. But I just wish driving a fantastic car it would be amazing to take it on a long trip .
