I have never once had a problem with the Alenza's. They are SO much better than the stock dueler's or goodyears.
Dueler Alenza's are still at the top of the list on tirerack even after 2 years.

Consumer reports recommends for SUVs 1) the General Grabber and 2) Continental CrossContact LX. Continental owns General, so it could explain why these two were ranked at the top, as they may share characteristics. I haven't seen anyone mention this since the article from a few months ago. Anyone have experience with either of these?

Last year I got myself myself another set of Michelin CrossTerrains with my RX300, 235-70-16 as opposed to 225-70-16. Did a great job in Mexico City for my 6 years there (the Goodyear Integritys were getting eaten up in the first 5 months I was there) and ride well here in Florida.

waxman, it states in your profile you're from NY- do you have to drive in a lot of snow? You should base your tire selection on something with good snow traction as well as good ride comfort.
The aenza's work great for me in the snow, and are incredibly quiet on the hwy. I agree with lexmex, i haven't heard anything about the "grabber" tires. Maybe they're new?
Check the ratings and comparisons. Tirerack has a graph that shows which is better in snow, hwy, rain etc... really helpful, at least it was when i purchased mine few years ago.
And remember, don't skimp when it comes to tires. All it takes is one heavy rain storm and for you to hydroplane because your tires are cheap... Just spend the extra money and be able to sleep at night

Tires go bridgestone alenza
Tires go bridgestone alenza on the RX. It is a much stronger side wall tire that helps the car not "dip" while turning. After 40,000 miles...I highly reccomend them.
