Chrome Wheels - A little more than I wanted to spend
I spent a bit more money than I wanted, but it was worth it. The wheels look great on my wife's truck and she's happy.

They are called chrome wheelskins. They snap on the wheel for a perfect fit and essentially turn your stock wheel into a chrome wheel. I purchased some for the 17" Scion tC wheels I'm running on my car and was so impressed with the look and quality that I immediately conducted an internet search for the same product for the RX. The reason I said they were a little more money than I wanted to spend was that I got the wheelskins for the tC wheels off eBay for a total cost of less than $65 and the wheelskins for the RX were $249.50. Totally worth it though. I'm afraid I'd feel a bit silly if I'd spent the money and hassle switching over to chrome dipped wheels and someone rolled up with the chrome wheelskins and told me they were less than $250 and were installed in the driveway in 5 minutes. They don't look cheap or second-rate in any way. Trust me, if they did, they wouldn't be on my car or the RX. Frankly, the wheelskins are a much less expensive and far easier way to chrome plate your wheels.

I don't have any data regarding how the original wheel finish holds up under the skins since I haven't removed them from either vehicle yet. As mentioned, the skins are ideal if you have a wheel or two with some curb rash or scratches and you're looking for an inexpensive way to make the wheels look brand new. For me, I just wanted chrome wheels and I think they look great!
Darn, I should have waited. Here's the chrome wheel skins for the 19" seven spoke Lexus RX wheels for a much more reasonable price.
