Default The Official "What have you done to your RX today thread" :)

Hi guys,

I thought it'd be a good idea to keep the momentum from the Modification thread going with a proper consolidated thread for RX owners to share what they've done recently with their ve-hi-cles

So post up what you've done ( with pictures please! ) whether it's a killer new mod, or you've detailed your car, anything you think the community might be interested in.

Let me start...

My new mod for today - VIP Table
(*please let me know if you can't see the pics)

Now your turn.

I thought about washing mine, but it rained.

Is that thing safe? What happens if the airbag goes off? Your wife / gf / daughter might end up wearing that thing in the face.

I had a look at the airbag situation, looks like the airbag is on the grey dash area above the table. The table itself is secured with two long screws in the factory glovebox position then sandwiched between between the dash and the glovebox. I'd rate the risk no more than a tissue box on your dash.

Table is for looks not safety. but they did design it with Airbags in mind. Just don't drive around with glass bottles of Sake in the holders. I will post later.

I've got an old detailing clip i made a while back which might be useful.

But I think you're on the right track, high pressure to remove the contaminents, soap wash, clay bar, swirl removal, polish, prime, glaze, sealant, wax.

Many here do not mod RX's, but we just delivered the final product to one of our customers. He's been in the modding scene for awhile and wanted to do an SUV for a daily driver.

We did most of the modifications except for the audio.

Really nice work! A lot of thought and design goes into making it look that clean.

Fronts are 6-piston 2-piece 355mm rotors and the rear are 4-piston 2-piece 355 mm rotors.

Gonna teas a bit I want to have everything on and finished before I reveal (~_^).

This was a scary drive home....

Custom fitted.... No those are not the ones I am getting Got there at a bit after 11am. Left at 4:30 Lots of work measuring and test fitting.

If you have not guessed already..

Now for what I have done so far?? Lets see if I can get it all and and not be too much to post.

The air suspension set up. Soon to be reversed on the bottom of the car as this takes up WAY too much room! and it need to be hidden and away from my heavy camera gear.

UA Air with AccuAir Digital e-level.

100% lowered on Air

With the new Grill:

For the more minor but JDM Mods some of you have seen already:

JDM Passenger side Table (for show only).

Visors (I have changed the Harrier logo to Lexus also bought from Japan):

Logo changed. Bought lucky find on a Japanese Yahoo site.

Optional Leather w/wood

Before:

After:

Still need to install this. A little complicated as you gotta drill a few holes. I got this not for CD's but to house my Gage's for my Air Bags.

Mine sitting in the box lol!

Trash box. totally installed wrong side It's for the passenger not the driver lol!

Last but not least the Chrome handle car replacements.

So there you go. It's still in such transition. Might get the car painted another color or maybe get a wrap sponsorship. But the car will be getting coverage after next month.
