Default How do you program the garage door opener?

I just purchased a previously owned 2007 RX350. There was no owners manual with the car. How do you program the garage door opener? Also, any suggestions about where the locking wheel key is located? I have searched every cubbyhole and the area where the jack is kept to no avail.

While holding your remote button on the original remote, press the button on the car remote for about 30 seconds and release. The car remote should then have learned the home remote code. Works for non-rolling or rolling codes. Our garage door opener installer taught me this nice little tip.

Thanks! I will give it a try. I tried something similar with no luck earlier today. Does the car have to be in "acc" or on?

Nope, IIRC, I didn't have the keys in the ignition.

You may have to have your garage door opener learn the code that is already programmed. For my rolling code opener, I pressed & held the button for 5 or 10 seconds until it flashed fast. Then pressed the open button on the car until the light bulb on the garage opener flashed.
