Nice setup. Do you have an ML system or just the Premium sound? I experienced the same thing with the ML system. Which is why I replaced the entire ML system with aftermarket parts. Replaced the ML amp with Alpine PDX amp, all speakers, and added an Infinity Basslink powered sub. It fits right in front of the tire hump and I have it wired so it is easily removable.

I also have the steering controls and find it very useful.

The only major difference between my bracket and beatsonic is that mine is a genuine Toyota Harrier JDM part. Beatsonic is still considered aftermarket. Everyone has their own preferences. I prefer spending a little more on genuine JDM parts. Just my $.02.

TrendyTodd, thanks for the tip on the infinity basslink. Could you explain what you mean by tire hump? Could you show us a picture of where you have placed the sub?

And oh, is it just the basslink or the basslink 2 that you have? The latter has a tad more juice me thinks. basslink 200w and basslink 2 is 250w. Which do you have?

I don't have any pics yet, but I have it on the left side as soon as the hatch opens. Maybe it's the strut tower I'm talking about...

It's the Basslink I not the II.

Ahh, I see what you mean now. As you say it fits in like a glove, I will take your word on it and invest in a similar sub. Are you happy with the sub? Do you reckon it has enough power to throw the bass through the whole vehicle? The cabin is quite large and I am concerned that sound has a lot of travelling to do to the front of the vehicle front seats.

As for the other questions in your post, I wasnt sure they were directed to me but I will respond anyways.

I have no idea if it was ML or not, some people have said stock systems on the lexus are sometimes Pioneer and sometimes JBL too, so for the life of me, I dont know which system was installed. What I do know is that the amp is powering 8 speakers.

2 mids, 2 tweeters, 2 front doors, 2 rear doors. I couldnt find any dedicated sub so presuming that the front doors are for that purpose. Whatever thhe system is right now, its pretty crap so changing it all.

I think the beatsonic facia is excellent. The colour matching is excellent and the build quality is the same as the stock system. I dont see any reason for spending more on an original item when you can have something of equal quality for much less. Its a piece of plastic after all. My 2 cents.

PM me if you have questions or would like to purchase one.
Hi, i'm looking for an alternate Audio Player to scan local frequencies, plug and play iPod, movies, and even navigate with GPS.

But the problem is that now my existing player is linked together with the a/c. Which makes me wonder how can i ever change the player?

Do provide some advice or experiences.

Rdgs,

Edmund Chan

Try this post. Skip the radio audio harness, there is not one that will give you four channel audio and reliability. Easiest and best solution is to bypass amp under/behind rear passenger seat.

You cant take out the ML Audio Head and put in another Radio. It runs more than the Air Conditioning.

Edchanky30 and OP, did not state it is a ML unit but BeatSonic makes an adapter for a 11 speaker system - link does not state ML but worth contacting them. Diagram from their website.
