Picks of Double Din Aftermarket Nav units installed
Thinking about installing an aftermarket touch screen double din radio in my 92 sc400 would like to see some pics of them installed before I go to it.

moving on - these double DIN head units you guys have - when did you get them and how much were they???
im asking cos there's an ebay vendor im looking at buying a unit off, it's the Alpine W407... BUT for certain reasons and certain things i've read - i worry that it's a dodgy seller... at this stage i can't trust them posting to me in austrlaia
can anybody HERE vouch for a shop called sonic electronix?
furthermore, can anybody let me know if i'm getting a decent US price? thanks
and seriously i'm looking for someone to have my back on this one...
i've just read many many nightmare stories RE: sonic... i worry that it's indoaudio with a new name...

i got speakers from sonic a looong time ago, but they were only like $40... So, I'm not certain about the whole HU thing. My guess is that they have become a bit more reputable since then. That or you could check out crutchfield, pretty legit imho.

i bought my head unit new in nov '10 from an electronics liquidator on ebay. paid $800 for it and it worked fine for 3months...then it just shut off unexpectedly. turns out the radio's faulty & kenwood wouldnt cover it since it's not purchased from an authorized kenwood dealer. fml
i bought mine new and it went bad on me. i'd recommend you buy from an authorized dealer if you buy a radio new.

Hey I was going to buy a HU from sonic electronix since a couple of my friends bought from them and they never had any problems. But still you should buy with whom you feel most comfortable with just my 2penny's worth...
