Stubby Antenna Upgrade?
Hey guys,
I own a 2001 RX300 and I've been looking to do some minor cosmetic mods on it. The one thing I really hate is the whip antenna so I was looking for some way to get rid of it. I was looking at other peoples rides on cardomain & found a stubby antenna that Ripratama was using on his ride but didn't know what part that was or if it even worked. Do you guys know anything about this at all? http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3304651

I have put an XM satellite radio antenna up on the top of the roof. I wrote it up here on this forum maybe 2 years ago. Some people would consider making a hole in the roof more than a minor modification. Routing the cable was not hard.

I'm thinking about the wireless antenna thing too because that would allow me to just mount a dummy on top... only thing I'm not sure about is if a stubby dummy exists.
I found a wireless antenna on ebay however I can't attest to the craftsmanship. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus...Q5fAccessories
RayN where'd you get your wireless antenna was it a worthwhile upgrade?
Seemingly the shark fin thing is pretty popular but, I get the impression it's isn't going to look good on the 1st gen rx.
I like the rims on that ride too. I think they're 20's... don't know about the tire size. I tried to PM him but no reply so far. His entire setup to me is really appealing to me. IMO It really modernizes the car and gives it a sporty but not cheesy look.

Any DIY info on how to connect it to your stereo. I was checking out the pdf and it seems you'll need to remove some paneling in order to connect it in the back which is outside my expertise w/o pics.
