Speedometer reads significantly slower than GPS using Waze. The faster I go the bigger the difference. Looking online I see some folks having just the opposite problem but have seen nothing working this way. I checked the tire size on my 2024 RX 350 F Sport Handling, and they are what the network says it should be 235x50 R 21. Saw some test done using a police radar system and it showed the opposite of the problem I seem to have. All of those said the Waze GPS speed is the more accurate. anyone run into this issue?

 

I find waze one or two mph higher than the speedo. I've read the speedo is programmed to display 1 mph higher than actual speed. Who knows.

 

You say "significantly slower" but don't define what that means. What kind of difference are we talking about?

 

Difference starts showing up by about 40 mph on speedometer. Maybe 2 or 3 mph difference - then as speed increases so does the difference at 45 mph it can show a 5 or 6 mph difference.
