Adaptive Cruise and TJA
It's the same everywhere. This system is considered Level 2 driver assist, it is never a hands free system. Mercedes have a limited amount of Level 3 system and Honda Japan now has some as well. I just use one little free trick to make it hands free, that was pioneered by the Tesla community. Pretty easy to find with Google, but I'm not sure I will share as I'm fairly certain it did contribute to at least one fatality with Tesla Autopilot
Not on the steering wheel itself, but not sure if it's in the hub or by the electric assist. Its a torque sensor to sense when you are trying to counteract the motor. Often times I actually have my hand on the wheel in a position where it doesn't even sense it, which is ironically what made me mad enough to try the trick.
