Question on HUD mod option
Using the Carista app and OBD2 reader I have made several changes to suit what I want but came across this one having to do with image distortion in the HUD. The default setting is on Default but there are several options - Concave Low, Concave Medium, Concave High and Convex Low, Convex Medium and Convex High (Convex Medium and High cut off at bottom of attached pic). Anybody know what these settings are for and what they do as I have set it up to Concave High and then down to Convex High and can't really see any difference looking at the HUD on the windshield? I tried searching this on Google but could find nothing about it.

Oh this is interesting. My take is that you would want to tinker with the concave settings due to the inner curvature of the windshield where HUD projects to. Another assumption is that it's also very dependent on the original settings under the head unit under vehicle settings due to your ride height, angle, brightness, etc. Lots of variables to take into play though... Maybe the setting actually tweaks some other 'motorized' setting in the actual HUD in terms of focus (like a laser projector). Still no clue, only guesses.
Sonny3621, Is there a list of the options that can be adjusted with Carista app? Are you using their ODB2 reader if so which one. I didn't see a lot of adjustable options on their website. I have a new RX 350h+
I am not using their OBD2 reader. I am using the blue Veepeak reader available now on Amazon for $13.49 with the Amazon coupon and works perfectly with the Carista app. I just got the 1 month Carista subscription for $15 and did the mods. Just remember to cancel the subscription before the month ends or you will be charged for the second month. The dealer will make one free mod for you at the 6 month service but that's bull**** since you can make as many mod changes as you want using Carista. Go to the Carista website > Supported Cars > Lexus > RX > 5th Gen > then scroll down to "Explore the features in detail here" and click on "here". Then click on each category for the full list of mods in that category.
