Had mine completed late last week when I took it in again for a stuck tailgate. I asked if they would fill the tank as I recall them doing it for recalls the SA said he wasn’t sure but would do it if it’s allowed. Went to pick my vehicle and the gas was not filled. No settings changed either from what I could tell.

 

I got software about 10 days ago and fuel economy gotten worse for city drive. I used to get 8-9 not it’s 14-16
Anyone facing this issue after the update?

 

Colder weather and gas formulation changes? I doubt anything in the software change would do it since the change is to just make sure a locking pin releases from the exhaust cam phaser after the engine starts.

 

I got my first tank of 'winter' gasoline today. MPG was reduced ~15% so far! And those readings were on an engine that was warmed up.

 

Yep. Went from 28mpg to 22mpg, myself. Annoying.

 

Got ours done Tuesday. No changes to our settings, they filled the tank, mpg driving home 200 miles was the same as the trip there.

 

The ECU probably was reset and now needs to learn you driving habits again, it usually takes 200 miles for drive cycle.

 

Made an appointment and took mine in this morning. Took less than an hour. Dealership filled my tank (was half empty) for my troubles.

 

I got same message on dash. They are updating the software now free

 

My 24 Rx350 F had the update done in October, along with my one free oil change service, at 8k miles. No issues before, or after.

 

Just got my recall notice last week. I live three hours from the dealer, asked if they would come get the car, do the work and return it in a day or two. No problem....very pleased I don't have to waste an entire day.....
