Call us boring - we pretty much always go with white and black interior. This time we almost went for the iridium on the new RX which is gorgeous but some things just never change

we went with the Pearl White and like it quite a bit, thought the ultra white was a bit much....our 2013 RX is silver...

In over 50 years of driving, no one has ever come up to me and plainly stated how much they liked the color of any car I've owned... until this past year. Whether in a parking lot, or in my driveway, people still feel compelled to ask what the name of the color is (Copper Crest) and say how much they like it.

It felt a bit strange a year ago, but you get used to it. It's nice bringing a little beauty into the world.

It's a cool color - the RX350h we test drove before purchasing it was Copper Crest. Similar to a 1982 Pontiac we had - they called it Rosewood.

Copper Crest here. My second choice would be white. But I've had so many white-gray- black vehicles I'm sick of them.

Wife absolutely loves the color. She named it Penny (she names all the vehicles).

CC makes it easy to spot the vehicle in a parking lot. And as remarked above, only the second car I've owned that random people stop to say they love the color (The other was an "Absolute Red", 2002 SC430 - IMO, much better than the red they are painting in newer years).

Personally my favorite color is Iridium. But the first RX was Autumn Shimmer (Brown) an unique short run color. The second one was imminent white which you'll find (10) white RX350's and another (10) suv's that looks similar in a Target parking lot. I had to press the panic or hatch button to find it.

Love iridium and Peppercorn interior. It’s like a “sporty elegance.”

Wife has a ‘22 with Caviar and Macadamia. Looks nice when clean and under sunlight, but hard to keep clean.

Macadamia leather hard to keep clean also- absorbs dye off of clothes easily.

My Parchment interior is the same, have to clean it once a month or so.

Mine is a 500h in Copper Crest....still love it. I get asked about the color all the time too.

mine’s in Nebula gray, but I do love Ultra white color as well

I narrowed down my color choices to the following:
1. Copper Crest
2. Cloudburst Gray
3. Nightfall Mica

After seeing the vehicles in person, I decided the following:
1. The Copper Crest, while gorgeous and striking, just seemed too "trendy." It's one of those colors that I would think after a year, I would regret getting. Also, I saw it in the sun and in the rain and in the wild on the road. The only time it ever looked great was that first fleeting glimpse on the road as it pulled away. After getting up close and in it, I decided against it.
2. The Nightfall Mica, to me, just looks black. I wish Lexus would offer a smokey blue color. I'm not really into the robin's egg blue and the "blue" on the Nightfall Mica is way too dark for my taste. Plus, I live in Georgia. I can see that color getting over 100 degrees in the summer.
3. I decided on the Cloudburst Gray. To me, this is a classic color. It's NOT black (too hot and shows every scratch), it's not white (never looks dirty, but never really looks clean - I had the Eminent White Pearl on my NX and didn't want white again) and it's not silver (or Iridium), which I find boring. Plus, I saw the Atomic Silver and the Iridium side by side and I hated the Iridium in person. It looked like dirty silver to my eyes.

And since black interiors show dirt and are HOT, I got the Macadamia with Bamboo wood trim. LOVE the interior. My only regret is that the F Sport with the black wheels ONLY has red or black interiors. I wanted the black wheels and I may swap them out for a set later on. It's easier to buy new wheels than it is to paint a vehicle or change the interior color!
