I recently purchased purchased a Lexus RX350 2023 and at 1000 miles have problems start. Taken in for service at that time and was supposedly repaired the engine warning lights were on. They drained the oil replaced the oil filter and returned it to me, however at 2000 miles the same lights came on again, I am now having to have it repaired again and was told that Lexus is aware of these problems and a handful of customers have had this happen. They are trying a new repair and it has been in the shop almost a month. Here is the list of the parts that need to be replaced and I am wondering if anyone out there has experience the same thing and what was done. front oil pump / crank seal fipg form in place gasket maker exhaust cam gear exh cam filter / bolt exh cam solenoid w o-ring mounting bolt valve cover gasket high pressure fuel pump gasket on valve cover
thank you
I really wonder how many of those parts really "needed to be replaced." That's the kind of list you get when repair guys don't really understand the problem (which is not encouraging).

No, nearly the whole list is seals or one time bolts that you replace to take off the front engine cover to get to the exhaust cam phaser.
This is the second time in the shop for the same issues starting at ~3000 miles & again at ~5000 miles-Check engine, drive-start-control malfunction, system malfunction and other safety light malfunctions-very unfortunate. My vehicle has been in the shop cumulative over 16 days with unknown ETA for final repair. Frustrated and concerned to be having these kind of safety & engine issues on a brand new vehicle.
Same issues here, on my 23 RX 350 FSport. Now approaching week 8, awaiting repair. parts on backorder, and just received a few days ago.
Lexus confidence in the RX going forward is on shaky ground, with this engine....but yes, i'm certain that Lexus can/will repair.
I'm curious about how many parts will require replacement.
Can I trust this on road trips? I think not. I'll take my 200k mile GX on a road trip, before this '23 for now. Geez! Never thought I'd type/think this way.
I just purchased a new 2023 RX350 about 50 days ago.
Today, while merging on the freeway, heard a ding and then a warning light with the message "System Malfunction", visit your dealer.
I got to work and turned off the car and turned it back on to see if the message remained. It did not BUT... my odometer displayed 8,345 miles!!!
It eventually goes back to the actual miles of 1655 but very odd.
I turned it off again and back on and same thing occurs.
I have a call in for service but this is odd. Anyone seen anything like this before?

Yikes! Let's hope that's not my future.
Sorry you are having to deal with such issues.
Ironically, the reason I came to Lexus is my previous car (BMX X6 2021) decided to just slow down and STOP on a very busy express way with no warning of any kind. Very lucky to have not been seriously injured or even killed. After two days at the dealership, they couldn't find anything wrong. I got rid of it. So, I'm a little sensitive to system malfunctions!

Ours gave up at 590 miles. Sat from mid may till our buyback in early august. I was told they tried the big fix to no avail (we already decided to not accept it regardless of the progress after several months). good luck

Your error was from one of the safety features, it could have been it was raining or something on road got in front of sensor this is why it disappeared and cleared it self..
