I just got gas during lunch and verified a couple of things. First, if you can reset the console MPG reading without resetting all of your history. You can do this by tapping the vehicle icon on the left side of the touchscreen display and selecting "Trip Information". On the "Trip Information" page, tap the "Update" button. This adds a new current entry to the history and resets the MPG display. It is a multi-step process (like many things), but pretty quick to do. It would be nice if we could add favorite buttons to the main screen.
The second thing I've found is that fueling our Lexus does not reset the MPG display. If I don't reset it as noted above, it doesn't reset.
Our 2023 RX 350H is about a month old, so I assume it has fairly new software.

I have not totally tuned into all of this, but this is a very useful summary of how to do this. Thank you. I will print this and play with it over the next few refills. I generally like to see my MPGs, from the last refill, at each next refill.

The RX 500h is a little different from your RX350h, no update button on the initial Trip Information page.
One Extra Button to push.

VEHICLE>TRIP INFORMATION>HISTORY>Update.
Still, thanks for the help!
‘Still way too many steps when you used to be able to hit a single button to accomplish the same. I guess it is the price we pay for have so much controlled from the LCD screen.
Even though I keep track of my mpg and odometer readings on each fill-up, I definitely miss having this. I believe we also happen to get a trip summary (mpg/time driven) whenever we turn off the rx?

OK, I did this and it appears to NOT work as you say. All it does is replace a prior “Previous best” MPG memory with a new best, if, indeed it’s better. It does NOT add the latest trip MPG to anything prior.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the only way to reset the MPG's that stay on the regular speedometer screen to zero is to reset the entire history, not just the current history. If you just reset the current, I thought it continues the average MPG from day 1 or what ever it has in history.

Huh? Where can you see MPGs on the regular speedometer screen other than when you shut down the car each time? And isn’t that the MPG reading just since the prior shut down? And isn’t that not at all dependent on what you do with the center console screen MPG settings?
When I get gas I reset total history and this screen resets to zero. As I drive it adjusts my MPG's for this current tank and shows on the speedometer screen. If I don't reset after refueling it will keep updating from the value since the last reset.

Thanks for this. Honestly it’s not that helpful, but it’s worth knowing it’s there. Maybe!
This is about as annoying as them moving the Tire Pressure PSI from the gauge area display into main screen buried in settings and info.. Instead, now I get which gear I am in?..

Yes, regarding that "trip summary" when we turn off the rx, is there any way to regain that information if you happen to forget it and lock and walk away from the car? Also if you happen to open your door or the lift hatch before it shows up, you will not see it either. That is probably the most valuable information to me because my trip is fresh in my memory. I remember the terrain, speed, traffic, weather, etc on the trip and the MPG is relevant at that time. I would really like to be able to go and pull that information up someplace else if I miss it. Pic is the report I'm referring to.

Agree or at least have it stay on for longer. It flashes up for about three seconds.
