I went to my local dealer this week and what they had looked like a roll more than a fold-out shield.
Dealer should have a folding one but going to cost about the same as Covercraft, I don't like the shiny reflecting side, so didn't get it; the storage bag from the dealer is actually better than Covercraft paid one
Are there gaps? I watched a youtube video and it seems that the fitment is slightly smaller than the actual windshield. Your second picture has a bit of gap on the left. Even with discount and free ship its $100+ so quite pricey compared to the generic Amazon ones, just wondering if it's worth it.
I didn't go crazy with the placement, you could probably shift it here or there. As it gets used and a little warn in it may seat better. I think the main thing is that it protects the dash and keeps the interior cooler. Since it's rigid it folds up easy and I store it in its original mailing box. Some of the cheap floppy ones are made bigger and they are more flexible so there may be less gaps. If they make these fit too tight they will be harder to install and remove due to their rigid panels.

There are gaps around, it left a tiny spaces otherwise will be difficult to put up since its hard folding; it did the job for me in Vegas, kept the car cool, I got legal tint on the front two windows, so might help, but we haven't hit triple digits yet, so time will tell. I also use the app to start my car in advance so the A/C also cool down before I get in.
The dash cam will not fit in between the cut out gap of the mirror area, the screen will be behind it, I remember seeing some model on their website has an option to choose for dash cam, maybe can contact them directly see will it be available
You will for sure get better price for generic one, but it won't fit well and doesn't look good, if you not OCD like me, then I think you can save some bucks getting those soft one it will get the job done
It is a nice quality piece but you have to be very careful when putting it up and taking it down.. The dash will mark up easy if you drag the shade across the dash. Just a heads up.
