With the rise in carjackings in our area, does anyone have any good suggestions for some kind of engine immobilizer that can be installed?

With carjackings sorry you should not be worried about your vehicle but life so I would say drive with a bulletproof vest. I live in one of the largest metro areas in the country and I can not even remember a local carjacking. Chicago averages 5 a day and Philly 3.5 a day. I would move. You must be in Seattle.

Focus on avoidance. Never buy gas anywhere after dark. Lots of carjackings occur at gas stations. If you can use Costco for gas - do it. No cash, no mini-mart, staffed with attendants, so no criminals hanging around. Stay out of large shopping malls.

Does the digital key option on this car have any disablement mode for anti-theft?

Has anyone tried the IGLA anti-theft system? I have seen videos on youtube. This maybe something I am interested in but would like any feedback before I look further.
