Default Does windshield interfere with transponders?

Does the glass on the front windshield interfere with the reading of transponders? This is a problem on the mustang EV. It has to be placed on a certain spot on the windshield in order for it to be read.

That's an issue with vehicles that have heated windshields. Not an issue with the RX since only the area where the wipers park would have heated glass..

In that Mach-e thread there is this: "Because of the Infrared Reflecting Windshield, you have to put toll transponders and radar detectors in the upper part in the dot matrix area." Radar detectors? Does anyone use one to validate this? I'll be miffed if I have to remote my detector.

There is also this in that thread: “I believe there are metal particles in the glass that enhance the acoustic dampening qualities. Unfortunately, the metal also interferes with transponders.”

So have any folks experienced problems with their transponders in their 350 or 350h?

I have a passive garage transponder (you don’t push the button; the condo garage door opens automatically when it you pull up near the door). I also have an EZPass. Both work fine.
