Does anyone know if they will do an over the air update for us on the 2nd gen safety system+?

Someone posted this link below in another post. It seems like they use the same equipment, one single lens camera and multimeter radar. This would make me believe we should have some of these features added even if it's a paid upgrade option? I have a 17 RX350 Fsport.

I really want the Lane Tracing Assist so it at least stops the ping ponging issue. Thoughts?

Highly unlikely they would do OTA update for safety or driving system, even if hardware the same. Risky. They don't even do OTA updates for maps. Lexus is not anywhere near cutting edge with tech and is very conservative. From a financial perspective, smarter to require folks to buy a new car. Tech will become the main reason people upgrade and part with their hard earned $$.

i imagine that if you want the latest tech, you'll have to buy the latest model.

These antiquated business models is making Tesla more and more appealing. Sure you pay the premium for Tesla, but they still deliver features even after you've purchased the car.

Having gotten used to the autopilot on highways I cant buy another car without something similar to it. Been eyeing the new QX50 with propilot...

Having said that... over the air update w/toyota will never happen.
