Default 2019 RX - Release date and changes - excluding RXL

This thread is for regular RX not RXL (3 row)

We all now know that 2018 RX will be a carry over model with minimal changes compare to 2017.
Also it will be released late December 2017.
We expect to see mid cycle changes for 2019 model.

Now that this year Lexus is releasing 2018 in December as opposed to September (when most new model cars hit showrooms), would it worth to skip 2018 and wait for 2019?

Will 2019 comes in September 2018 or it follows this year release and comes in December?
I personally do not like to buy a brand new car when it is -20 and salt on the road!!! (for those live in Canada and northern US)

Any info about changes for 2019?

I can relate to picking up a car in a snowstorm, salt up your ying yang, get it home and looks terrible. At least give me a few days.

As for waiting for a 2019, guess it depends on each persons needs. I doubt that there would be that much of a difference....but who knows??

Personally I would wait until they straighten out the Hesitation, Drone/Vibration issues. At this point I think you can do much better for the price. If they can fix the existing issues this could be a real nice vehicle as I do like the interior and the ride quality.

jumping the gun here

Let's wait and see if the 2018's having any changes other than the longer version before you start wondering about the 2019's.

With technology these days everything keeps upgrading. If you want to wait to 2019 for the newer features, might as well wait to 2020 or 2021 as there will always be improvements.

If you need the car now, then get it. If you can wait, then just wait it out.

I would suggest you read the first post one more time as your comment does not seem to be related !!!
Summarized points:
"excluding RXL", "mid cycle changes", "release the car in winter"
p.s. check mid cycle changes for 2018 NX, it is quit significant.

Yeah I know lol. If you want to wait for a new RX they usually release a brand new model once every 4 years. What I'm saying is most likely if you wanted to wait for a 2018 vs 2019 it won't be a difference and if you want a car now get a car now and don't worry about new stuff added as they are always adding new stuff every year. good luck
