Backup camera lens cracked
Something hit the lens of my 2106 RX350 backup camera. You can see shadows, but the lens is fractured. Can the lens be replaced or do you have to replace the whole camera( $750+)

You should be posting this in the 4th generation RX forum. This is the 2nd generation forum which covers years 2005 to 2009.
But your question is common to probably all Lexus models and years. And unfortunately the answer is no, you cannot replace only the lens. $750 is the list price, but you can find it for around $530 on-line. There are 2 cameras for the 2016 RX, panoramic part # 867B0-0E071 and non-panoramic part # 867B0-0E061. The 2 cameras have the same price.

Try posting in the 4th gen forum; this is 2nd gen 2004-2009 model years. I looked though and I do not see the lens offered; only the camera itself. 608$

Someone inquired about replacing the lens for their front camera due to a rock chip and was informed the camera will need to be replaced, replacing just the lens wasn't an option. Wasn't covered under warranty either since it wasn't a defect in workmanship, so I doubt you can claim the crack in the backup lens is a warranty issue.

Depending on your insurance, you may be able to have it covered under comprehensive for a (possibly) lower price, depending on your deductible. I carry $100 comprehensive, so something like that would only cost me $100 to have repaired. Did a stray stone hit it while you were cutting the grass? Comprehensive typically covers things that you even admit you're responsible for, as long as you weren't driving when it happened - then that's considered collision.
I once cracked a windshield on a car while changing wiper blades... My insurance (Erie) covered a replacement for only my $100 deductible.

Broken backup camera
Something hit the lens of my 2106 RX350 backup camera. You can see shadows, but the lens is fractured. Can the lens be replaced or do you have to replace the whole camera( $750+). I was told to place this in a diferent forum (4th generation).Just figured out how to enter the forum. One response was the camera was less expensive on line than the list price , but does this vehicle have a panoramic or non panoramic camera?
