Default Chrome trim . . .

Just wondering if there are any pics of anyone adding chrome pieces to their cars - I've noticed several different chrome pieces on Amazon - , front grill trim, side trim, fog light trim, tail light trim, etc. Can anyone post pics?

Thanks

Here's an example

Most people are spending their money on covering the chrome.

Chrome plate cover is not something I would put on my ride, but the chrome trims are subtle enough.
Not too bad.

Could you please tell me the size of your chrome wheels and from what model they came?

When installing these chrome accessories, after making sure the area to stick them on is clean and dry, highly recommend using VHB tape primer to ensure a tight bond. You can get the primer from ebay also. You only need a single thin coat and yes it works great.

The VHB tape primer is officially named: 3M Automotive Adhesion Promoter If you search for it on eBay, search for it as such. Interesting sidenote, the OEM body side molding kit in the US and Canada does not come the adhesion promoter; elsewhere in the world it does.

@gadgetman1,

Chrome and red as well as black and chrome always look good together! Those are about the only two colors where I actually like chrome accents. The Lexus Matador Red Mica is such a great looking color you rarely see it on the road or even the dealerships. In all the time that we were looking to purchase, we only came across one at a dealership, but it was optioned wrong for us. Too bad as we would have purchased that red one!

Thanks! Funny you should mention the color rarity; we had to have the dealer hold ours for a month (long story that was not our fault) until we could take delivery. They told us they had multiple inquiries from dealers in California wanting our red car. For whatever reason, the Matador Red is scarce in California...We also considered ordering a 2017 just like the 2016 & Lexus had not produced any Matador Red RXs! When I toured the factory, there wasn’t a lot of red being produced at that time. I don’t get it, because people always compliment us on the color. I also agree that only certain colors look good with more chrome. I absolutely hate all this stuff that’s all murdered out in black. Chrome in just the right amounts, can be classy. Too much chrome & it’s cheesy.
