Need RX350 advice!!
That may be good advice for some, but before I left my hybrids behind to buy a 2022 F-Sport, I owned two certified RX hybrids that were both 4-years-old when I purchased them. They were both trouble free, very quiet and smooth to drive...and the trade-in value was excellent.
The only reason I left them was because I wanted to try something different...

Well I see lots of AWD models that fit except that I want FWD as i live in Florida and will never drive in snow or off road! So im thinkingthe FWD will be better gas milege ad nimbler handling because of less sprung weight -maybe quieter too?? oooor should I just foreget the difference?? Im also insisting on factory navigation cause I dont do Aplep or phones well.
AWD is also helpful in FL with the heavy downpours and does help with cornering. You do not have any torque steer either. I live in GA and its helped me out several times and if its offered on a car i like i would get the AWD.
Although I now live in the Pacific Northwest, while living in Texas, Arizona, and the Bay Area of California, I appreciated my AWD whenever the roads were slick from rain or even drifting sand.
Remember though, AWD is NOT all wheel stop! Some here in the PNW have learned that the hard way during the recent ice event.
Reading from your original post to the end, it looks to me like you can safely ignore the question of AWD or not, if you can get everything else that you want.
-- AWD is commonly misunderstood, as far as I can tell from what other people have posted. You need to read all the pages of the owner's manual on this topic, and maybe watch several youtube videos to really understand it. The best and simplest description that I have heard, from the service manager at my dealer, was this: "It is FWD except when you are accelerating." That is an over-simplification, but it's approximately true for fair weather driving. I've seen no data that suggests fuel economy is different between AWD and FWD models.
-- I don't agree that the F-Sport is just a marketing gimmick, but if you don't care about the added features that it provides, then you shouldn't buy it. To me, the Mark Levinson audio system is closer to being a marketing gimmick than the F-Sport model designation.
-- At our ages (I'm 72), unless you have exceptionally good hearing, you're unlikely to notice any "drone". But test drive a car to verify that.
-- The transmission "gear-hunting" thing was a little disconcerting at first, for me. I've become accustomed to it, and with 89 octane Shell gas and the "learning" that the car does for your style of driving, it's rare that I ever notice it today. My car is quickly approaching 50K miles.
Good luck!
EDIT: Correction -- for the 2018 model year, AWD F-Sport EPA mileage figure is 1 mpg. less than the base model FWD.

I found a cherry RX350 2016 top trim in spades at local Range Rover dealer!!! Has 85000 miles but in incredable condition with new Michelin Premiunm LTX tires. It even reads the MPH in Reverse!! Its perfect in every respect. The drone some speak of seems like a growl to me. thakns all for comments. PS Thens I sold my 2010 rx ith 155k miles for 10k. Paid 27.5k for the 2016.
If you can't confirm that it has had the following services already, then I would strongly recommend that you get them done ASAP:
- coolant drain and replace
- ATF drain and replace
- Transfer case & differential (if it is AWD), drain and replace
- brake fluid -- drain and replace
Lexus dealers won't necessarily agree that any of these need to be done, especially the first two, so you might need to find a skilled independent mechanic to get them done. But at that mileage, they do need done. Find the Car Care Nut channel on youtube and find his videos on these subjects to confirm.
Good luck with it.

In addition to what dibl said in the previous post:
_ Have someone hook up an OBD scan tool and check for any stored codes.
_ Fill the spare tire up to 60 PSI (or whatever the manual says)
_ Get a battery tester and check the condition of the battery.
_ Check the condition of the cabin and engine air filters.
Good luck with your new ride.
