Does anyone know how I can find out the exact color of the grey shade used on the 2017 RX 350 lower rear bumper extension (assey)? I was rear ended the other day and was able to take the extension off this morning, work the dent out, sand and prime the piece. Now I'm struggling to find the right paint color Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Hello all, been a while since I’ve posted. Glad to be back with a newer RX350. Bought it new last year just as all the Covid Craziness started. My question is about a color code for the lower middle section of the rear bumper.
I have called the parts Dept at the Dealer where I bought the vehicle and they are stumped. Kinda hard to believe.
Anyway, the car is Eminent White Pearl, however, the lower middle section of the rear bumper is a grey/silver color. I have a scratch in this grey/silver section and no one can tell me what color this is so I can buy some touch up paint. Like I said, I called the dealer to buy the paint, and they say they cannot figure out what color it is to sell me the touch up???
It has to be some sort of stock Lexus or Toyota color, right?
I have attached a stock photo of a White RX with the area I am referring to circled (I know you can’t see the color but wanted to clarify what area I am talking about. I did not have a pic of my vehicle in my phone).
Any help towards an answer would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any info, guesses or answers.

I had the same problem lol. The closest match ive found for it is toyota phantom grey. That actually might be the color 100% for the rear diffuser part and front lip on the f sport. When I was fixing a the rock chips on the f sport front lip, i noticed a couple rock chips on my f sport wheels. Either the wheels or lip/rear lip needed a tiny bit of black mixed in to be a really good match but I cant remember which one haha. Like three drops of phantom gray and then half a tooth pick dipped in toyota black is the ratio i used and matched very very well. All the greys I bought from lexus (five bottles worth at 20 a pop) werent even close as a match and I spent roughly 100 bucks at lexus. The touch up paint I ended up using was from auto zone, dupi color lol.. If you go that route just make sure you test small batches on some cardboard and let it dry and look at it in the sun, shade will make it always look like a good match.
Touch up paint is tricky to make it look good tho, anyone can make the base color coat fill in nicely but when you add clear coat it really is noticeable as you see brush strokes. I mix two drops of clear coat into three drops of base coat paint, this way you dont have to add clear on the top, and it looks half decent. But there is a ton of solvent in the clear coat so you might have to do 2-3 fills as once the solvent in the clear coat evaporates it leaves a tiny amount of paint. Kinda annoying but you dont have to go back and brush on globs of clear coat which makes it look shotty and crappy
Thanks Dannn…..I knew there would be at least one person who had run into the same problem. Very hard to believe Lexus would put a color on a $50-60k SUV and not know what it is or sell touch up paint when something gets chipped/scratched.
I will try your formula…thanks for the advice.
if anyone else has had any success matching this lower rear bumper paint, I’m all ears
GirlzRock…..did you ever get an answer to you color question on the rear bumper? I posted a similar question about the Htey/silver rear bumper on my 2020 RX. Here is what I got back from Dannn….
let me know if yours is the same grey/silver and if you ever found a Toyota or Lexus Color Code.
