My crazy rotor replacement saga

pqn628 - I haven't tackled the rears yet, waiting for it to cool down a bit. But I have a universal tool which fits in and with the help of a wrench you can "turn" them in. I've used it on Honda and VW rear brakes in the past.
Major items on quote are $430.00 for Front Brake job, $340.00 for Rear Brake job and $400.00 to turn all rotors. (my local auto shop does them for $25/each not $100/each WTF?!) Besides, turning them would only resolve the symptom not the actual problem of poorly spec'd rotors for such a heavy vehicle.
and yes, I knocked out the fronts in a little over an hour because I had to do it in my drive as my garage was not an option this time.

Do you realize the rear calipers are electronic and it actually requires a scanner to retract the pistons ?

@pqn628 Thank you for the heads up and links. I just started looking for pads and was having a hard time, this must be why. I'll look for an independent shop and go that route. Thanks again, much frustration avoided!
