Hi there:

Do you still have the part number of Evaporator Cleaner kit? (ie. The A/C Power Foam and Conditionaire)
My local dealer says it's not available anymore and they uses the BG product at their service department.

Thank you.

Mike

I think this is the one you're asking - https://parts.toyota.com/p/Toyota-AC...0289ACRKT.html

Default Toyota Touch A/C Power Foam Part #?

Thank you, EXONW. The 00289ACRKT can be found the US. However, due to COVID we can't cross the boarder to get it. Apparently Toyota Canada does carries them under Toyota Touch product line as CL1000 shown here. However, my dealer say they can't find it unless I can give them a valid Canadian part number. Does anyone have this number?

Thank you.

I just checked with my Lexus dealer where I bought it. It is the same part number. 00289ACRKT. It is actually a Toyota part number.

Default Interior water leak

After months of dealing with a musty smell, I finally found a little bit of water under the passage floor mat. I bought It to the dealership where they practically dismantle the car looking for the leak. After 35 days with the assistance of Lexus they found the leak. The leak was from the firewall. As I write this it is 45 days in the shop the repair has not been made yet and the car is still full of mold

Mold on the passenger side

Thanks for sharing your story. I was getting moldy smell in my CPO 2016 GS before I decided to get rid of it.

Sorry to hear about the issue you are facing also.

What's your model year? Is that still under warranty? Any accidents that caused this?

so after spending some time on the 4th gen RX forums, it clearly seems like this generation is the worst one.
- tons of complaints creaks and rattles on relatively new RX's
- sunroof / pano roof leaking
- panoroof shattering
- engine clicking
- oil leaks

lexus has really dropped the ball on this gen

It's a 2020. No accidents. They are in the process of fixing it and we are in the process of seeking remedy through the lemon law. The water damage had dramatically impacted the value with the car out of service for 45 days it qualifies under Louisiana state law

Interesting. We are looking for RX and aren't sure yet. RXs are mostly made in Ontario, Canada? RX-L is made in Japan I think. Build quality issue?

Sounds like the right thing to do. Don't want to be stuck with that one. When did you first started to leak?

I notice the smell in December but could not pinpoint or imagine it was a leak on a two-month-old car. I discovered water in March since then the car has been at the dealer. I Thought the smell was from my weather tech mats. The moldy smell was embedded in them which weathertech replaced in February

Mold is a health hazard, so ask for a new vehicle. Tell the dealer, otherwise, you will take up the issue with your county health department.

Good luck!

Definitely a good idea to consult a lawyer on your options. See if Lexus would buy back the vehicle due to the mold issue.

I am having this problem now. Mold in car and Lexus said it’s from a spider and not under my lease warranty. Insurance says not covered bc it’s a maintenance issue. I have never missed a maintenance which I get down by Lexus. They want $8000 to fix it. I have less than a year left on my lease. I am seeing so many posts with this same issue. It seems like this is a known defect they do not want to address!!
