Default Lexus search

I have very little experience with Lexus. I have a lot of experience with Ford. Ford has a customer service that will do a nationwide search for the exact vehicle you are hunting for. Does Lexus have such a service? The dealer I am dealing with doesn't seem to be able to search a very wide radius.

I just ordered a 450h from another state through my dealer since the color and option combo I wanted was not widely available. There were only about 20 to choose from and they were able to search around and find the car I wanted at a dealership that would trade. I would guess if they are telling you that they cant they either want you to buy something off the lot, end of the month is pretty much here, or they don't want to deal with it. Good luck!

Some dealers will only trade with certain dealers, and pay for/deal with transporting the car in. So dealers generally set the search within your region.

I went through carsdirect dot com for my 2017 RX350. This will be the 3rd new car I have bought using them. Maybe not the best price but I have been happy with the deal I got..

I finally found a dealer that knows how to search. They found 5 suitable cars for us. 3 other dealers had told me that none were available.

Not sure why but in my expericence, Lexus seems to be less willing to do this than other brand car dealers. Same with custom ordering.
