2017 RX and Android Auto
The Lexus Enform App Suite, which includes the Destination Search app is free forever. It is only the Enform Remote, Safety Connect, and live Destination Assist that requires an annual subscription. Further, the free Destination Search app uses a continuously updated data base that is also larger than the data base on the SD card that is in the vehicle, and it works very well with voice commands. When the Destination Search app became available 2 or 3 years ago, I quickly came to the conclusion that anyone who is not using it is not getting the most out of the capabilities of the navigation system.
Thanks for the clarification.

Just download the app from Google Play or the Apple App store and have it open on your phone. Then, use the car's menu to navigate to Apps. Then, click on the App Suite and, then, on Destination Assist. You will then be given the option to search for a destination, either by manually entering it or by using voice commands. Once the Destination Assist app has done its search, you can choose what it found to be set as a destination.
Again, since it is using a data base that is in the cloud and not the data base on the car's SD card, that data base is larger and more up-to-date than what is on the SD card. Also, voice commands are using the voice command capabilities of your phone, which are better than those in the car.

Hi LESZ... After reading your reply to my post, I downloaded the app and have been playing around with it. Does the "Destination Search" in the App Suite give you the fastest route around traffic delays like Waze and Google Maps do? I'm not really seeing this. To me it seems like it is just a replacement for the voice search in the built in factory navigation system. Am I missing something?
Thanks again for your help.
