Default Lexus Enform: Partial Year Subscription

My LEXUS ENFORM free year is almost up. I do like the remote start. I am wondering if you must renew for a whole year though. And if you do enroll for a whole year, can you cancel later and get a pro-rata refund? And if not, what if you sell the car?

You get a pro-rata refund when terminating Enform early. It took only a few days to show up on the credit card. Very painless.

Also, rate is less per year if you sign up for two or more years. They probably take away the discount if you cancel early. The rate posted online is for a 2-year subscription.

What if I pay now to extend my subscription that expires on Feb 22. Then cancel on March 22 when it warms up? Will I get back 11/12 refund? Then resubscribe next Thanksgiving thru March and repeat?

Was informed that these prices are based on a 2-year subscription. I think I was quoted $50 more per year for a single year subscription. Supposedly the more years you sign up, the more discount you can get.

daryll, I don't think Lexus would allow for the Enform subscription to be cancelled year after year like that. It's probably in the fine print of the contract somewhere. If remote start is the primary reason for renewing Enform, you're probably better off looking into an aftermarket system instead. Unfortunately Lexus doesn't offer that feature alone like they did on the 3RX (RES and RES+ (subscription)).

Default $16/Month For Remote Start

I see that the cost of the LexusEnform remote start is now $16/month. Previously it was a 1 year type deal for about $240 I think.

If I enroll, can I cancel in April? I only use it December thru March.

Good question, I would be interested in that as well. Even though I still think it should be standard

It does not **** you off that you need to pay for this? They can disable the app, but the key fob must work for free!

Many auto makers have gone in this direction. Revenue generation. HBO is not part of basic cable.

What good does getting "pissed off" accomplish?

This is what Lexus offers, take it or leave it.

Buy a GM product - they include remote start on the FOB. I wish Lexus would do the same but I can't change that.
