Anyone having problems with the Current Weather function. Mine used to work just fine, but when I tried it on Monday, it would just return to the menu screen. I had my first service on Tuesday and mentioned it to Lexus. They kept the car for 2 days trying to figure out what what going on. They claim their other new cars on the lot also do not work. Apparently the 2015 and older models used to require an XM radio subscription for the weather function to work. 2016 and newer should use HD radio or Lexus inform app. They claim Lexus is aware of the problem and is trying to resolve the issue. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this issue. I live in the SF Bay Area.

 

The weather function is normally done via HD Radio. If you do not have HD radio in your area the only way to get the weather/traffic info is by connecting your smartphone with the blue tooth and you will get it.
That is the way mine is working in Boise, ID. Boise does have 1 HD radio station but it does not provide Traffic/Weather info.
