My $.02. If it is free than I would do it. if not it is a tire rotation that anyone will do for $20.

I took my car in at 4k miles just to get 5 dealer only settings changed that I would have paid them to do.
I'm very happy with the results.

weird. Lexus newport allows their customers to have a car wash anytime, just drive in....FREE.

I avoid dealer car wash however.

#27 press the unlock button for 3 seconds and all windows and moon roof open, if I did this one again, and I might, I would also do #29 and have all windows open and the moon roof to tilt, not slide.
#45 touchless sensor to high, low is standard
#46 back door chime off, after all you still have the lights flickering, the sound of the door opening and you were the one selecting open.
#48 fold/extend the side view mirrors linked to operation of the engine switch.
and my favorite, deactivate the seat belt dinger.

You can choose your own here: http://www.lexus.com/pdf/service/MY1...on-Display.pdf

It's up to you to decide what you want changed, no?

Only change I made was to adjust the lane change signal flashes from 3 to 5.

Totally up to me. Sometimes you don’t know what’s better until you try.

Any suggestions for change appreciated. Tim

Default 2020 dealer-only programmable options

I'm about to schedule the 5,000 mile 'free' service on my 2020 RX350 and am curious what others have done with some of the dealer-only programmable options. (Prior gen 4s may have the same options - I don't know.) Most of the items are personal preference. The only one I'm certain to have changed is the back door chime volume. Loud is the default and it is way too loud for me.

What about other settings? Any nuance to some of them a new owner might not understand?

Anyone change the 'Efficient Ventilation Mode' ? This one defaults to turning the AC compressor on when the defogger is activated. I've had some challenges with the windows fogging in warm and humid environments and have not broken the code on defogging them quickly. The RX seems more prone to fogging than prior vehicles I've driven.

Default Did you change any Lexus Personalized Settings at 5K mile checkup?

I have my 5000 mile checkup on Wednesday. One thing they will do for free is change any of the Lexus Personalized Settings. After this service I believe you have to pay for them to change the settings that only Lexus can change. So I'm wondering which of the settings you decided to change and if you're happy with the change?

Thanks.

Those settings are for an older year. They are the same for a 2021?
