Lexus aims it's lowest interest promos to move slower selling vehicles. The 4RX is selling quite well and you can not blame them for not lowering the interest.

Lexus was running a 2.9% promo last month so it seems promo deals change monthly or so. My car will be ready 3-4 months from now so im hoping things change by then,
PenFed is usually pegged at 1.49% so I`d go with that. Being an LFS customer in finance really doesnt give you anything else besides the stated above. Usually it pays in the long run to be a LFS customer only if you lease nowdays.Originally Posted by bwsteg
Thanks for the replies. Perhaps going through my own finance may be cheaper but I'd like to keep it via lexus/toyota financial if not much difference in rate. It is generally recommended that you do not put money down on a lease.

if i don't put money down on this than the lease payment should be like $600/month correct on this specific car? Originally Posted by JDR76

Never Put A Down Payment On A Lease
There are two good reasons for this:
1. If your car is ever totaled or stolen, you can always walk away from a lease without penalty (thanks to GAP insurance). However, you won’t always get your down payment back—so don’t pay one to begin with.
2. A down payment obscures the cost of the lease and makes it more difficult to compare deals. Any car can be leased for $199 per month if there’s a sufficient down payment.
Instead, we recommend placing a security deposit, which lowers the money factor and could save you thousands in finance charges. Brands that offer a multiple security deposit program include Audi, BMW, Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, and Toyota.

Just noticed while l was in Florida that Lexus IS finally offering the following lease deal as a starting point.
$419 month (plus Tax)
36 months
$3217 down but it could include the first and last months lease $.
This is a far cry from where they started from.
By the way when l stopped into my local dealership l over heard a few so called exec's talking about
slower sales on the RX then expected but feel that the design is more youthful then for the targeted
audience 50 and up.
And to top it off they said that the front grille is going to be scaled back.
Let's hope they are just shooting the wind.

It's slow b/c they have to fix the AC sound and the vibrations from 0-20 mph before my mom spend her money. But she can only account for one sale

That's great where did you read this? In my community we now have only 3 new RX's. We have years from 1999 to 2015 approx 38 RX's
It will take time for my community to warm up to the new RX.
The Suburu Outback seems to be a hot car as a 2nd or 3rd car.. It's ok but not for me. It has a cult following that l will never understand.
The dark sheep is the Audi Q5 and new Q7 that surpassed the Mercede's.
