Default Safety Issue?

This may have been discussed elsewhere...but.
If I have the audio system playing and a safety alert sounds the audio system continues to play at its set volume and the safety alert sound is buried in the background. I searched a bit in the menu system but couldn't find a way to change this behavior and it seems odd that it seems to be the default for this system. My old 2007 RX always muted anything playing in favor of phone calls etc. This system doesn't do that. Anyone else notice this or have a fix.

What kind of alerts are we talking about. I know when I fail to brake for something in front of me the sound is not "buried" in the radio's audio. When I get calls or have texts read the radio always mutes till it is over.

I'm referring to the sounds made by the sensors. If I'm to close to an object in front of me or if someone is walking behind the car or there is side traffic the sensor sounds are not audible if the radio is playing. It doesn't mute. Is this the same for others. Does your radio mute for sensor sounds, in coming calls etc.

I'm sure mine mutes for phone calls. It also mutes if you ask Siri to read a text. I'm trying to remember if the audio mutes when the car gets close enough to something to make the park assist sensors sound. I play my music pretty loud sometimes and I always hear the warning beeps.
The warning sounds volume can be adjusted. I believe it's in the set-up menu.

For the cross traffic or parking sensor alerts it does not mute the radio. Not a big deal to me.

Maybe we should turn down the radio a little.

I can not see a recall for this.

You can adjust the volume of the alert in the menu but they do not mute the audio. (calls and text do)

I have mine set to the mid point and I have not missed one yet and play the radio at normal levels.

Not a safety issue unless you have the radio SO loud that you have caused the safety issue.

You can increase the volume level of the parking sensor alerts.

Driving with music at a very high level is dangerous for both your safety and hearing.
