Thats what I thought but why are the pictures of a 2016? The car and moldings pictured are 2016. I didn't follow them exactly.

Oh yeah. I didn't notice that. Part number for the moldings in both set of instructions is also the same.

Yah and the instructions are different. That was the latest instructions on lexus website I ended up doing it more like your instructions, hopefully they will block when someone opens door in parking lot. Worried tho because the bottom edge sticks out so far.

That looks good. Right around where an IS would hit your door if parked next to it.

Did you post the measurements you used so others may duplicate?

It was done by eye Those measurements on the instructions seemed real hard to get perfect when i tried with all the curves anyway looked too high to be aesthetically pleasing.

Then just pick a reference point and measure from there.

From the center where the doors meet a hair under 4 inches from the body line below, line it up straight from the doors edges. From all the different places i had it placed this looked best also asking peoples opinions it looks best also because it lines up with the crease in the back bumper.

Have had my door edge guards on my 2010 RX450 for the past 2 years and they have save numerous dings on both sides. Since my wife drives it to the mini malls, dings are inevitable. Little touch up paint and back to normal. If you apply them your self you might want to leave 1/4 inch on the front door for future door edge guards.

installation tip... stand back about 20 feet and make corrections before you remove the backing to apply. Nothing worse them seeing someone installed them uneven or backwards.
