Just purchased my 2016 RX 450H and love it (3rd one!). I have a quick question that maybe someone else already knows as I seem to be getting mixed answers from Lexus. The vehicle came with the standard Bi-LED headlights but I’d like to see if there is an option for me to switch these out to the newer Triple Beam LED Headlights that I’ve been seeing on other RX’s. It's listed and configurable as an option on the Lexus website so I know it available but not sure if this has to be a factory installed item or if this can be a simple headlight replacement. The front and top of the headlamp housing assembly look exactly the same but not sure if there are different power, software, programming requirements that are needed.

Anyone else look into this or know anything about converting??

Advice: Live wih the bi leds. The retrofit seems harder then buying a new car.

Retrofits possible, but the each unit is somewhere around $2k plus programming and installation.

 

Not worth it...it'll cost you an arm and a leg and probably your first born son...haha

 

I priced it out for the RC and with lights and hardnesses and programming it was just at $8k. Not happening. That's why I ordered.
