Why do US models not get wireless charging?

Nothing productive to add but this annoys me too. Im hoping they add it to the 2017 model.

It's so they can add it during the mid cycle refresh. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not available until 2018 or 2019 in the US

A salesman said the chargers were only powerful enough to maintain the battery and not add any charge to it, which is why they no longer sell it because the performance sucked supposedly

That salesman is full of rat turd. On my 450H, the wireless charger works perfectly to charge a Lumia 930. Of course, it charges much faster when you aren't using it... but it charges about as fast as a desktop wireless charger.

And the winner for the most BS answer given by a dealer ever LOL.


Honestly, wireless chargers dont add much imo. The NX charges up my phone, but the damn thing heats up. Im pretty sure repeated usage will eventually damage the battery, and also loosen any solders in the environment which is car.

This probs a feature which is going to be added mid cycle to make it seem like a new car
