Default "Wheel Shield"

Confession: OK I'm a clean freak -- especially when it comes to tires and wheels.

The new RX is my first encounter with 20" wheels, so I found a "Wheel Shield" that, although adjustable to smaller sizes, is a perfect size right outta the box. Helps keep rims clean when applying tire protectant to sidewalls. [And should really come in handy to F-Sport owners who have those cool but intricate rims.]

I guess you are joking (?) Of course I will be driving "under" rain or snow. The wheel shield is just an assist for cleanup.

This makes detailing cars much quicker. If i detail cars for a living I would get one too. But for personal use it will take more time to put it on and do the tires. It only takes a second to wipe your wheels of excess tire shine. So I dont really se the point for personal use.

You don't "put it on", you just hold it. It doesn't attach to the wheel; I didn't show my hand in the 3rd picture, but that's what the handle is for...sorry it was misleading.

It actually takes me less time to finish the tires, since applying the tire protectant goes much faster when you're not having to be so careful...and there's nothing to wipe off the rims.

Just my $.02 - and yeah I realize I'm a lot pickier than most people. Cheers!

^^^Makes sense to have this when spraying tire dressing. I am always having to wipe down the overspray from my wheels. If only they made a 22"...

Default Things that make you go

Hmmmmm. I wonder if I could find something around the house that's round with a handle on it. Wait a minute. . . . .

Or use the gel tire dressing rather than spray...

When using tire spray there is an issue of overspraying onto your fenders and car body. Especially if you have lowered your car and upgraded to larger rims. So should i use a car fender cover thingy too? Lol

I spray tire shine on a kitchen sponge. Very accurate way to apply. That plastic thing might be the dumbest thing ive ever seen....

Thanks for posting OP. I usually use a tire gel that I spray onto an applicator, but may look into these when and if I decide to use a spray dressing.

I love it. Thanks for sharing. That is always a pain. And I am also picky so I completely get it.
