Also find the heated wheel to be a let down. Weak heat and only heats the perforated leather near the 9 and 3 o'clock positions.

Did you check the dipstick after adding 5.8? If you still needed oil then there might be a misprint in the manual? Or is there another higher number when you include the oil filter? I would check with the dealer service dept.

Another discovery. When the temperature drops to 37F, the HUD and the dash light up with a "Drive carefully, roads may be icy" warning. This is similar to the message when starting the car when it's 37F or lower, but I don't recall if that warning shows up on the HUD.

I wonder if this in anyway affects the performance of the car?

i brought this up in the forums months ago. I think it's on purpose. And I like it.

Did you also know there is another storage space under the hand rest to the mouse. I owned my RX350 for months before I found that.

Is this a hidden feature in the 4Rx or just coincidence based on my sensor settings? Has anyone else noticed this? Is it just coincidence?

(I found a post in the ES forums from 2014 with the same discussion but nowhere else.)
Many states now have a law that your lights must be on if your wipers are on. This feature solves that issue for those that might forget.

Not easy to forget when it's printed on the back of the inspection sticker.

I definitely appreciate the headlights coming on when the wipers are activated. That and how they go into resting position when the RX is turned off. No more wiper blades stopped in the middle of the windshield. But it's negated somewhat by the inability to easily lift the wipers off the windshield.

I was reading my owner's manual & discovered there is a feature to make the wipers stop straight up on the glass (to change the blades). Place the ignition switch to "ON", but don't start it. Push the wiper stalk up to "MIST" & hold it. The wipers will come up completely vertical. I haven't figured out how to do the rear wiper yet...

Yes, I know about that. Within a few seconds of turning off the RX, push and hold the wiper stalk upwards. The wipers will move to the vertical position and then can be lifted up from the windshield. It's not as convenient as before, like when it's going to snow or when washing the RX. I haven't tried the rear wiper yet. But if it's anything like the 3RX, with it on, turn on the rear wiper but turn the RX off before the wiper returns under the spoiler. I put a towel under the wiper when removing the blade so it doesn't scratch the back window.

Default 2017 RX Grabs Bluetooth; 2016 Did Not

A minor gripe with my old 2016 RX was that if you turned on your phone Bluetooth, it would not "grab" it. You either had to restart the car or you could reboot the audio by holding down the power ****. The new car (2017 RX) works like my 2014 Corolla, however and immediately "grabs" the phone after turning on Bluetooth!

Cool little discovery, if music is paused it'll play if you adjust the volume! I thought that was cool

Perhaps this is because of different phone makes, but my 16 RX grabs my iPhone if I forget to turn on the Bluetooth after I start the car.
