Replacing Driving Mode selector / Welcome Me Back
Hello All,
I just picked up a used 2017 RX350 at a local Lexus dealer because I needed something dependable for commuting that’s also good on gas. I got a great deal on an F-Sport, but I have a question. At pickup, I discovered that the drive mode selector was not functioning correctly—it requires pushing down and contorting to get it to change. The dealer is looking into whether they will fix it for me.
My question is: if the deal states they won’t fix it (used car sold as-is), is this a simple swap-out with plug-and-play parts?
Additionally, I like the look of the redesigned drive mode selector on later models—I think this redesign occurred in 2020. Is this a plug-and-play swap? If I have to pay to swap it, I might as well buy the model I prefer. ChatGPT says it is not a direct swap.
Thanks in advance.
